About the Role

We are seeking a passionate and skilled volunteer Grant Writer to help Heartizens identify and secure funding that will sustain and grow our programming. This is a meaningful opportunity to directly support a beloved local arts organization while contributing your professional expertise to the community.

As our volunteer Grant Writer, you will:

• Research and identify grant opportunities from foundations, government agencies, and arts councils aligned with our mission
• Write compelling grant proposals, letters of inquiry, and funding narratives
• Help develop and maintain a grants calendar and tracking system
• Work collaboratively with Heartizens leadership to articulate our programs and impact
• Assist with grant reporting for awarded funds as needed

Who We're Looking For

• Experience with grant writing, nonprofit fundraising, or related fields (professional or volunteer)
• Strong writing and communication skills
• Passion for community arts, creative placemaking, or cultural programming
• Self-motivated and comfortable working independently
• Familiarity with arts or community development funding landscapes is a plus
