About the Role
The Company is seeking a Vice President for Data Governance to lead the establishment of a robust governance structure, standards, and quality controls for enterprise master data. This critical role involves close collaboration with various functions, including finance, accounting, procurement, HR, treasury, FP&A, and technology, to standardize data elements, enhance integration controls, and ensure the integrity of reporting. The successful candidate will be responsible for building and operating an enterprise data governance program, defining and enforcing master data definitions, and implementing change control processes. Additionally, the role requires the establishment of data quality rules and workflows, as well as driving adoption of the governance framework across stakeholders. Applicants for the Vice President, Data Governance position at the company should have a minimum of 15 years' experience in data governance, master data, finance systems, or a related field. A deep understanding of finance master data and its impact on various financial processes is essential. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in running governance operating models, improving data quality, and possess strong cross-functional influence and executive communication skills. Experience in complex enterprise environments with multiple integrated systems is a must, and a background in financial services, investment environments, or multi-entity operating models is a plus. The role demands a pragmatic problem-solver with a focus on durable standards that facilitate automation and reliable reporting.
