Position Overview Position for a full‑time Laboratory Instructor in the Department of Chemistry and Biochemistry at Boise State University. The successful candidate will play a vital role in advancing the department’s instructional mission by teaching a combination of general, organic, or analytical chemistry laboratories. The instructor will also spend five hours per week in the Chemistry Instructional Center (CIC), a drop‑in tutoring center that supports all service chemistry courses. The position instructs four laboratory sections per semester and requires attendance at pre‑semester and weekly preparation meetings. Minimum Qualifications Bachelor’s Degree in Chemistry or Biochemistry Preferred Qualifications M.S. or Ph.D. in Chemistry or commensurate teaching experience College teaching experience in general, organic, and/or analytical chemistry College chemistry GPA greater than 3.2 on a 4.0 scale Required Application Materials Cover letter Resume or CV Contact information for three professional references Salary and Benefits Salary: $35,672.00. The standard faculty contract is a 9‑month contract (unless otherwise noted) with pay and benefits spread over 12 months.
