POSITION DESCRIPTION
The Advancement Database Manager is a full-time year-round position and reports directly to the Director of Advancement Services. Major responsibility of the position is to serve as the Office of Advancement data guardian and information systems manager. This individual’s primary responsibility is to manage the gift entry, acknowledgement and reporting process as well as insuring data integrity. The Database Manager also works with the Data Strategy Team and other departments within the school as needed on all matters regarding the database.
The overall success of the Advancement Office depends on teamwork and collaboration. This position requires the Advancement Database Manager to work closely with other members of the Advancement Team and the Data Strategy Team to ensure effective, consistent application of data entry and gift recording processes; information systems management; and financial reporting.

TRAINING AND MARGINAL DUTIES
• Participate in all requisite School trainings.
• Attend required staff development, training sessions, and conferences throughout the year.
• Attend periodic in-service meetings.
• Attend Chapel.
• Attend Department & Team Meetings.
• Attends school events as requested.
• Ability to periodically support before and after-school or weekend events.
• Acknowledge receipt of the current Employee Handbook and are responsible for reviewing the contents and abiding by rules, policies and procedures stated in the Handbook or otherwise by the School.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT
• Regularly works in standard office conditions and climate.
• Regularly uses close and distance vision, including working at a computer screen for extended periods of time; ability to observe students from various distances.
• Frequently required to move around the campus/office/classroom ; works at a desk for extended periods of time.
• Ability to occasionally move items weighing up to 30lbs. across the campus/classroom/office.
• Ability to maintain appropriate boundaries with students, fellow staff and community members.
