Job Description

Job Responsibilities:

  • Receive and verify incoming shipments for accuracy and completeness.
  • Enter order receipts into the warehouse computer system.
  • Perform quality inspections on incoming and outgoing materials.
  • Store materials in designated warehouse locations and relocate inventory as needed.
  • Pick, pack, weigh, label, and prepare customer orders for shipment.
  • Assemble and stage orders for shipping.
  • Prepare shipping documents, including bills of lading and delivery paperwork.
  • Assist with loading and unloading trucks.
  • Process returned materials and complete return authorization documentation.
  • Restock returned inventory into the appropriate warehouse locations.
  • Maintain warehouse cleanliness, including work areas, storage racks, and loading areas.
  • Assemble or disassemble warehouse racks, bins, shelves, and storage equipment as needed.
  • Perform basic preventive maintenance on warehouse equipment and delivery vehicles.
  • Follow all warehouse safety procedures and company policies.
  • Record and report customer concerns regarding products or services.
  • Maintain counter inventory and assist with over-the-counter customer sales when required.

Skills:

  • Basic computer skills.
  • Experience in warehouse operations, shipping & receiving, inventory management, picking, packing, and material handling.
  • Forklift operation experience is required.
  • Experience with cutting equipment is preferred.
  • Ability to safely lift and move materials weighing up to 50 lbs.
  • Ability to work in a physically demanding warehouse environment while following all safety regulations.
  • Warehouse setting with exposure to varying weather conditions.
  • Frequent standing, walking, bending, lifting, and material handling.
  • Operation of warehouse equipment and forklifts.
  • Use of hand tools and required personal protective equipment, including steel-toed boots.

Education/Experience:

  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
