Job Overview

We are seeking an Assistant Vice President to manage core treasury and asset-liability functions for the U.S. branch of a leading global financial institution. This role requires ownership of balance sheet analysis, ALM sub-processes, and reporting to senior management and regulatory bodies. The ideal candidate will support economic capital management, product pricing, and ALCO reporting, while driving process improvements and coordinating key treasury projects.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct asset-liability analysis and optimization for the branch balance sheet
  • Prepare periodic economic capital management (ECM) reporting and coordinate with headquarters and business lines
  • Monitor and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs), including cross-border account balances and NIM sensitivity
  • Compile and present financial data packages for senior management and regulatory reporting
  • Lead process improvement initiatives, including reporting procedures, documentation, and treasury operations
  • Coordinate audits, exams, and internal reviews, assisting in risk and control self-assessments (RCSA/ERA)
  • Serve as vendor service manager for treasury third-party providers, reviewing activities and managing vendor relationships
  • Assist in departmental budgeting and administrative functions, including staffing, intern/consultant management, and training programs
  • Support ad-hoc requests from headquarters or regulators

Qualifications

  • 3+ years of U.S. banking or financial services experience, specifically in treasury/ALM
  • Strong experience with ALCO processes, banking products, and economic capital management
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, accounting, economics, finance, or related fields; Master’s preferred
  • Demonstrated experience in financial reporting, reconciliation, and regulatory compliance
  • Ability to manage projects and coordinate with internal and external stakeholders
  • Bilingual in Mandarin is required
  • Familiarity with banking audits, risk assessments, and vendor management
