Registered Nurse (RN) – NICU

Key Responsibilities

Provide optimal patient care to neonatal patients utilizing knowledge and skills within the context of the nursing process
Perform comprehensive assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of neonatal patients and their families/caregivers
Diagnose and treat human responses to health problems while demonstrating cognitive and psychosocial competency specific to the neonatal population
Coordinate care between other healthcare professionals as needed throughout the episode of care
Float to other areas of the organization as needed, up to competency level, based on departmental needs
Maintain accountability for individualized patient outcomes, exercising sound clinical judgment and decision-making throughout each shift

Required Qualifications

Active Registered Nurse (RN) license or ability to obtain and maintain a State of Nevada RN license prior to start
Current BLS certification required
Current NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) certification required
Minimum of 3 years of exclusive NICU experience in a Level III NICU or higher
Ventilator training required

Preferred Experience / Skills

Experience working in a high-acuity, Level III or Level IV NICU environment
Demonstrated ability to adapt to variable scheduling including weekends, holidays, and call shifts
