About the Role

Our client is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Chemical Process Engineer to spearhead critical projects in George . This role demands a leader who can drive process innovation, optimize existing manufacturing operations, and ensure the highest standards of safety and environmental performance. You will mentor junior engineers, lead cross-functional teams on complex assignments, and play a key role in strategic planning for process enhancements. Key Responsibilities

• Lead the design, development, and scale-up of complex chemical processes, ensuring adherence to project timelines and budgets.
• Oversee the implementation of new process technologies, including equipment selection, installation, and commissioning.
• Conduct rigorous process hazard analyses (PHAs) and implement robust safety protocols to mitigate risks.
• Mentor and guide junior engineers, fostering their technical development and ensuring consistent application of best practices.
• Analyze operational data to identify trends, inefficiencies, and opportunities for continuous improvement in chemical manufacturing .
• Serve as a technical expert, providing guidance on process troubleshooting, optimization, and long-term operational strategies within the George facility.

Requirements

• Master's degree in Chemical Engineering or a closely related discipline.
• 10+ years of progressive experience in process engineering, with a strong emphasis on project leadership.
• In-depth knowledge of chemical engineering principles, reaction kinetics, and separation technologies.
• Proven experience with process safety management (PSM) and HAZOP studies.
• Proficiency in process modeling and simulation software.
• Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
