Regional Sales Manager (Distributor Opportunity)

Ashlawn Medical is a small but growing distributor of post-operative and rehabilitation orthopedic durable medical equipment (DME), committed to delivering high-quality products and responsive service to patients and healthcare providers across the Commonwealth of Virginia. We are seeking a Regional Sales Manager in the Western Virginia/Roanoke area.

Key responsibilities include managing and overseeing day-to-day sales & service activity in the territory, creating detailed business plans to meet and exceed goals, quotas and objectives of the company on a monthly, quarterly and annual basis, identifying, qualifying and cultivating new sales opportunities and effectively managing leads, responding to complaints and resolving issues aiming to meet customer satisfaction, developing and maintaining customer relationships by initiating and remaining in frequent contact, being an available resource for customers, maintaining comprehensive and effective strategic call plans that drive positive sales results, actively utilizing CRM tool to manage contacts, leads, opportunities and outcomes, proactively cultivating competitive opportunities that result in converted business, defending competitive threats and minimizing losses, providing presentations and demonstrations to customers on application and use of products using effective communication and sales techniques, providing mentorship and sales guidance to a team of Associate Sales Representatives, demonstrating efficient use of company resources such as time, money, materials and people to produce desired results, acquiring a basic understanding of the field to include regulatory compliance issues and adhering to these guidelines, demonstrating a commitment to maintaining business culture, code of conduct, compliance, policies and procedures, communicating effectively, behaving professionally in stressful situations, working independently and without supervision, establishing rapport, and exercising professional judgment in all situations.

We are looking for a candidate who is honest, dependable, and hard-working, with a proven track record of sales in the healthcare industry. Qualifications include a Bachelor's Degree or equivalent industry experience required, minimum of 3 years outside sales experience required (business-to-business, new business development), 1 year of experience in Orthopedic Sales and knowledge of Durable Medical Equipment strongly preferred, experience in medical sales strongly preferred, knowledge of healthcare insurance and third party reimbursement preferred, valid driver's license, dependable vehicle, safe driving record, and current automobile insurance, may be required to acquire various immunizations, in order to comply with medical facility credentialing standards, proficient/working knowledge of MS Office (Outlook, Excel, Word, Power Point) and Google Suite (Gmail, Sheets, Docs), strong written communication skills, working knowledge of CRM tools, technical competence includes the ability to learn new software and systems. Travel and schedule require substantial driving in territory, may include variable start/end times outside of the company's standard business hours of 8:00 a.m. 5:00 p.m., on-call hours may be required which may include nights and weekends.
