Production Supervisor

We, at Leggett & Platt Flooring Products, are searching for a Production Supervisor to support the production operation responsibilities at our Salisbury, NC branch. Leggett & Platt Inc. is the largest manufacturer of carpet cushion and hard surface underlayment in the United States. Our Flooring businesses manufacture and distribute foam, rubber, and fiber-based flooring underlayment for residential and commercial use. Our flooring underlayment products provide support, cushioning, and noise reduction under virtually any finished flooring material in your home or business. What Will You Be Doing As Production Supervisor?

• Monitor processes to verify conformance to specifications and direct adjustments needed to avoid or correct issues
• Obtain product samples and perform quality testing
• Visually inspect product for such defects
• Adjust product formula to maintain product quality standards
• Plan and schedule employees for tasks required
• Recommend measures to improve production methods, equipment performance, and quality of product
• Suggest changes in working conditions and use of equipment to increase efficiency of department or work crew
• Generate work orders as needed
• Analyze and resolve work problems or assist workers in solving work problems
• Initiates or suggests plans to motivate workers to achieve work goals
• Maintain time and production records
• Ensure all employees are adequately trained to perform tasks
• Responsible for planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems

To Be Successful In This Role, You'll Need:

• 3-5 years industrial experience
• 1-2 years of supervisory experience
• High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
• Excellent interpersonal skills
• Basic computer skills and writing skills
