Pay Range $62,400
Pay Determination Salary offers at Syracuse University will be based on education, experience, and relevant skills, as well as the academic or professional discipline of the position in the context of the home department, school, or college. Salary offers may also be influenced by prior relevant work or industry experience, where applicable. Faculty pay ranges are for 8.5 months' salary unless otherwise specified.

Job Description The Mathematics Department at Syracuse University seeks to fill one Postdoctoral Scholar position, to begin between July 1, 2026 and August 16, 2026. This is a one-year position that may be subject to renewal. For more information see
Qualifications - Recent Ph.D. in an area of pure or applied mathematics or statistics, and strong potential in both research and teaching.
Job Specific Qualifications - Preference will be given to candidates whose research interests overlap and/or complement those of the existing faculty.
Responsibilities The responsibilities include:
- Conducting research
- Contributing to the intellectual life of the department
- Teaching; teaching load is 9 credits (3 courses) per academic year.
