Job Description

Our client, an industry leader in manufacturing and industrial solutions, is seeking a PLC Controls Specialist to join their team. As a PLC Controls Specialist, you will be part of the Maintenance Department supporting operational excellence and continuous improvement initiatives. The ideal candidate will demonstrate technical proficiency, problem-solving skills, and a collaborative mindset, which will align successfully in the organization.

Job Title: PLC Controls Specialist

Location: Jacksonville, FL

Shift: 2nd Shift, Monday-Friday 3PM - 12AM

What's the Job?

• Maintain and troubleshoot production equipment from various suppliers to ensure optimal operation.
• Identify and prioritize controls and electrical opportunities to enhance manufacturing performance.
• Develop and maintain electrical and controls system documentation for ongoing support and compliance.
• Configure and maintain industrial networks such as Ethernet, DeviceNet, ControlNet, and Remote I/O.
• Provide training to maintenance technicians on instrument controls and electrical components to minimize downtime.

What's Needed?

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Minimum of 6 years of experience working in industrial environments.
• Proficiency in Allen Bradley PLCs, VFDs, HMIs, and Networks (DeviceNet, ControlNet, Remote I/O, Ethernet).
• Strong knowledge of electrical systems and control software.
• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills to present complex issues clearly.
