Service Assistant

Pizzeria Vetri is a vibrant neighborhood pizzeria known for its hand-crafted Neapolitan-style pizzas and warm hospitality. We are seeking a fast, organized, detail-oriented Service Assistant to support an exceptional guest experience. This role ensures accurate food delivery, clean and efficient dining spaces, smooth communication with FOH and BOH teams, and consistent support during service. Ideal for someone who thrives in a busy, guest-facing environment and wants to grow in hospitality.

Role Responsibilities

Guest Experience & Table Support

• Deliver pizzas, salads, and beverages with accurate, friendly introductions.
• Serve as the final quality check for all dishesconfirm modifications, allergies, and accuracy before running food.
• Monitor dining room flow, support servers, offer refills, and anticipate guest needs.
• Clear, wipe, and reset tables promptly; maintain a polished, welcoming environment.

Dining Room & Service Maintenance

• Keep expo, service stations, and to-go areas clean, stocked, and organized.
• Polish plates, glassware, pizza trays; fold boxes; restock glassware, plates, and pizza stands.
• Maintain safe, clear walkways and follow all sanitation and service standards.

Operational & Team Support

• Master table and seat numbers, ticket reading, and menu knowledge
• Organize tickets by time and run food as it hits the pass to ensure timely service
• Follow strict allergy protocols and communicate clearly with BOH and FOH teams.
• Pack and label to-go orders accurately; manage delivery tablets.
• Assist servers and managers during rush periods and complete opening/closing sidework.

Role Qualifications

• Restaurant experience preferred but not required; strong work ethic and willingness to learn are essential.
• Ability to multitask, stay calm, and move quickly.
• Strong communication skills and a positive, team-oriented mindset.
• Flexible availability, including evenings, weekends, and select holidays.
• Must be able to stand, walk, lift up to 50 lbs, and work in a fast-paced environment.

Pay Range

Starting from USD $5.50/Hr.
