Patient Care Technician - Methodist West Hospital

$3,000 sign on bonus for Full-Time!

Under the direct supervision of a Nurse, the Patient Care Tech provides basic nursing care for the personal and comfort needs of the patient.

Units Available:

• Emergency Department
  • Shift:
    • Full-Time 11a-11p flex, includes every Friday 11a-11p
• Med/Surg
  • Shift:
    • Part-Time Days
• Ortho
  • Shift:
    • Full-Time Days
    • Full-Time Nights
    • Part-Time Nights

**Please note: all shifts will include a weekend and holiday rotation

Shift Differentials:

• Shift differential of $2.65/hr for hours worked 3pm-7am
• Weekend shift differential of $2.50/hr for hours worked between Friday 11pm to Monday 7am

Responsibilities

• PCT performs patient care and treatments under supervision of a RN.
• Provides and documents care including, but not limited to, activities of daily living, mobility, specimen collection and respiratory support activities as directed by the RN.
• Possess the ability to lift, move, position and transport patients.
• Demonstrates the ability to meet the department work schedule.
• Demonstrates initiative to improve quality of care, patient and employee safety, and customer service.

Qualifications

Experience: Must be at least 16 years old

Please note: Some positions may require at least 18 years old

License(s)/Certification(s):  Successful completion and documentation of one of the following:

• CNA Certification preferred
• Basic CNA Course or EMT-B Certification
• Valid Driver's License when driving any vehicle for work-related reasons
• Must possess and maintain current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification or obtain within three months from date of hire

Minimum Experience: Comprehensive on-the-job training provided — no prior experience necessary
