Job Overview

\n

As a local vacuum truck driver and operator, you will be responsible for the safe, efficient, and legally compliant servicing of our customers. Your role will involve conducting pre-post trip inspections on your truck, following all safety rules and regulations, and loading/unloading liquid waste from customer locations to a wastewater treatment facility. You must be someone who enjoys an active job, is comfortable using equipment on the truck to load/unload liquid waste, enjoys working independently but also thrives in building strong relationships. What You'll Do \n
\n
• Safely operate vacuum trucks and related equipment
\n
• Collect and transport both liquid and solid waste, including industrial by-products and sewage
\n
• Clean and service grease traps at local restraunts and businesses
\n
• Conduct daily inspections and perform routine maintenance on vehicles
\n
• Ensure waste is disposed of properly and in compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations
\n
• Maintain professional conduct working with customers, fellow peers and the motoring public
\n
• Maintain accurate records of waste collected, maintain driver electronic logs, and necessary documentation as required
\n
• Other duties as assigned
\n
• May require occasional overtime, weekends or holiday shifts as dictated by business needs
\n
What we're looking for \n
\n
• Valid Class-A Driver's License (CDL) with Tanker Endorsement (preferably in state of operation)
\n
• High school diploma or GED and at least 1 year of Class A tanker driving experience
\n
• Willingness and ability to work overnight shifts
\n
• Clean driving record (no more than 2 moving violations in 3 years, 1 at-fault accident in 5 years)
\n
• Ability to pass a background check and drug screening
\n
• Must physically qualify and obtain a Medical Examiners Certificate
\n
• Physical capability to lift 50+ pounds, bend, squat, and work in various weather conditions
\n
• Strong communication and customer service skills
\n
• Vacuum Truck experience preferred
\n
• Tanker Truck experience highly preferred
\n
• Ability to drive manual trucks without a restriction on license
\n
