The Schwarzman Animal Medical Center (AMC) is looking for a Janitor that will be responsible for maintaining the overall general housekeeping of the hospital.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Sanitize clinic spaces, restrooms, and replace bathroom supplies
Dust, mop, and wipe daily staircases and hallways
Trash and medical waste disposal
Move furniture (i.e. tables, chairs, file cabinets) up to 50lbs
Provide support for inclement weather duties, including providing umbrella bags, setting up slip protection mats, and shoveling / salting the perimeter of building
Set up for events
Qualifications:
High School/GED
Janitorial Service Certificate of Education is a plus
Ability to read and understand signs and labels written in English
Some similar experience preferred
Ability to be flexible and able to perform more than one task at a time
Ability to work with minimal supervision
Must be able to operate tools and equipment used in janitorial work
Must have knowledge of proper use and care of mechanical cleaning equipment
Knowledge of OSHA and Safety requirements
