Job Description

Client: Established Mission-Driven Organization Title: HR Generalist Location: New York, NY (Hybrid - 3 days onsite: Tuesday-Thursday) Duration: 3-4 months minimum, with potential to extend or convert Compensation: $30-$35/hour Overview An established, mission‑driven organization is seeking an HR Generalist to support a lean HR function during a high‑volume period. This role will work closely with the Head of HR, who is managing multiple initiatives across the organization, and will play a key role in keeping day‑to‑day HR operations running smoothly. Key Responsibilities Coordinate full‑cycle recruiting logistics, including: Posting roles across internal and external platforms (LinkedIn, niche job boards, etc.) Screening and funneling candidates to hiring managers Scheduling interviews and managing calendars Prepare and generate offer letters using templates Support onboarding and training coordination, including scheduling sessions and tracking attendance Assist with HR events and internal initiatives (e.g., performance reviews, engagement activities) Provide administrative HR support, including: Managing shared resources (conference rooms, scheduling, etc.) Maintaining organization of candidate and employee data Ordering supplies and supporting office needs as needed Support benefits‑related processes, including assisting with open enrollment and answering basic employee questions Assist with HR projects such as job description alignment, organizational structure clarity, and documentation updates Qualifications 1-3+ years of HR coordination or generalist experience Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel (used to track candidates and HR data; no ATS in place) Highly organized with strong attention to detail Professional, polished communication and presentation skills Ability to take direction, prioritize tasks, and manage multiple responsibilities simultaneously Demonstrated initiative and accountability in previous roles Comfortable working in a fast‑paced, evolving environment Vaco PLC is acting as an Employment Agency in relation to this vacancy. #J-18808-Ljbffr
