The Inspector will provide accurate and detailed inspections reports, with all proper documentation of improvements and complications and assist in selling IFP services for any identified deficiencies./ppEssential Duties and Responsibilities:/pulliEnsure customers are serviced at the highest level of satisfaction through quality courteous service, and by applying experience, knowledge and training./liliWorking knowledge of sprinkler controls, alarm panels, devices and critical components/liliPerform routine inspections, testing and services of life safety product lines./liliThoroughly complete inspections in a timely manner as scheduled and interface with the Inspection Coordinator to ensure that the customer receives the work per proposed scope./liliWilling to coordinate between inspection deficiencies and service required to correct found deficiencies./liliUtilizes an online scheduling calendar to receive and understand the individual scheduled tasks, customer locations, and maintain other company documents as required (timesheets, safety audits, etc)./liliMaintain positive customer relationships and review inspection results with customers./liliTurn in required paperwork in a timely manner./liliMaintain equipment, supplies and company vehicle (if supplied) in good working order./liliStudy and learn NFPA standards for the inspection and testing of fire protection systems./liliStay current with code requirements, industry changes, and obtain NICET certifications./liliPerform other related duties as assigned./li/ulpJob Qualifications:/pulliAny trade experience is preferred; at least 2 years trade experience required./liliState of certs required./liliNICET Level I, II or III required in water-based test and inspections (dependent on state requirement)./liliGood verbal / written communication and customer service skills./liliMechanical math aptitude./liliExceptional computer skills, professional and organized./liliPrevious experience in the fire protection industry preferred./liliValid state Drivers License required./liliWilling to pass post-offer drug screen, reference and background check/li/ulpEducation and Certifications:/pulliHigh school diploma or equivalent/liliA minimum of 2 years of experience in fire sprinkler inspection testing, maintenance and installation is required./liliNICET Certification is required/li/ulpPhysical Demands and Work Environment:/pulliRegular bending, reaching, climbing and walking./liliMostly a physical demanding role./liliMay need to lift objects up to 50 pounds./liliAbility to be on the phone and computer consistently throughout the day./li/ulpThis position is not eligible for sponsorship./ppAll offers of employment are expressly contingent upon the satisfactory completion, in accordance with Company policy, of a pre-employment drug screening and background check./ppInternational Fire Protection is committed to complying with all laws prohibiting discrimination in employment and to providing equal employment opportunity to applicants and employees without discrimination on the basis of sex/gender, age, disability, race, color, ethnicity, religion, creed, national origin, military/veteran status, or other protected characteristics as defined by local, state, and federal law.
