Our internship program at Generac is designed to give students a chance to develop their business and technical skills by assisting with ongoing and project related activities within our finance department. This internship will introduce the candidate to the Deductions and Credit finance functions. In addition, the candidate will support various continuous improvement projects. The position is a full‑time summer internship with potential to extend to part‑time status during the school year. This position is onsite at our headquarters in Waukesha, Wisconsin. Major Responsibilities Thoroughly research, analyze, and validate customer deductions for product shortages, damages, pricing discrepancies, promotions, advertising, or other debits taken by customers in a timely and efficient manner. Ensure all supporting documentation is obtained through use of customer portal, emails, or other means and that it is sufficient to support credit issuance or collection of invalid deductions. Assist with managing incoming emails to the Credit Department, distributing items to the appropriate individuals. Excel reporting as needed. Complete other projects as assigned. Minimum Job Requirements Education Currently enrolled in a bachelor’s or master’s degree program with a focus in Accounting, Finance, or other relevant business discipline. Knowledge / Skills / Abilities Strong verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills. Attention to detail, organized, inquisitive, and have a willingness to learn. Familiarity with Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, and Outlook. Conscientious, self‑motivated worker with attention to detail. Ability to work independently and in a group setting. Preferred Job Requirements Education Currently enrolled in an Associates or Bachelor’s program with an emphasis in Business Administration, Accounting, or Finance. Minimum 3.0 GPA. Sophomore status (at least 48 credits completed by June 2026) and in good academic standing. Knowledge / Skills / Abilities Desire to work in a fast‑paced environment with multiple demands requiring initiative and independence.
