Work Locations: Indiana Beach Amusement & Water Park (Monticello, IN) + Lake Shore Drive-In Theatre (Monticello, IN)

Position Summary

The Concession Stand Attendant is responsible for providing fast, friendly service while preparing and serving food and beverages in a clean, safe, and efficient manner. Attendants help keep the stand stocked, follow food safety rules, operate the register accurately, and support the team during peak rushes.

Essential Duties & ResponsibilitiesGuest Service

• Greet guests with a friendly attitude and provide quick, accurate service.
• Take orders, answer basic menu questions, and ensure a great guest experience.
• Handle guest concerns politely and notify a manager when needed.

Food & Beverage Preparation

• Prepare and serve menu items according to company recipes and portion standards.
• Maintain product quality and speed-of-service during busy times.
• Restock ingredients and supplies throughout the shift to stay ready for rushes.

Cleanliness & Food Safety

• Follow proper handwashing, glove use, and food safety procedures at all times.
• Keep work areas clean and organized (counters, floors, prep areas, equipment).
• Assist with opening/closing cleaning duties and sanitation checklists.
• Help with proper food storage and stock rotation (FIFO) as directed.

Cash Handling & POS

• Operate the register/POS system accurately and efficiently.
• Handle cash responsibly and follow all cash control procedures.
• Maintain awareness of accuracy, speed, and professionalism at the register.

Teamwork & Operations

• Work well with others, communicate clearly, and help where needed.
• Follow direction from the Concession Stand Manager and Owner.
• Arrive on time, ready to work, and follow uniform and appearance standards.
• Support stand set-up, stocking, and closing duties to keep operations running smoothly.

QualificationsRequired

• Friendly, reliable, and able to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Willingness to learn and follow directions, recipes, and safety procedures.
• Ability to work nights, weekends, and holidays during the May–October season.
• Basic math skills and ability to handle cash accurately.

Preferred

• Previous customer service or food service experience (helpful, but not required).
• Interest in growing into team lead or manager roles.

Physical Requirements & Work Environment

• Stand/walk for long periods; work on your feet for 6–12 hour shifts.
• Lift/carry up to 30–40 lbs (supplies, product, ice, etc.).
• Work in hot, cold, wet, or outdoor conditions (Indiana Beach and Drive-In).
• Safely use concession equipment as assigned (warmers, fryers, ovens, freezers, etc.).
