Job Description

Pay: $37.00 - $95.00 per hour

We are looking for California certified journeyman electricians looking to excel and move up within our company. We are a commercial General Contractor with an Electrical license. Our job sites are primarily located in San Bernardino County which includes the Inland Empire and Fort Irwin Military Base. The majority of our work are either California or Davis Bacon prevailing wage. Ability to commute is a must. Optional ride share options are available most of the time. You must be able to pass a Federal background check.

**MUST BE WILLING TO COMMUTE TO FORT IRWIN MILITARY BASE. Our company is based out of the High Desert near the base so the commute to the base is not subject to travel pay or per diem wages.**

Job Responsibilities

• Install and/or repair electrical equipment such as transformers and generators by replacing or installing all components, wiring or devices
• Conduit Bending using manual or electric benders
• Ability to operate power tools needed for electrical installations
• Ability to install overhead and underground electrical following proper safety procedures
• Determine the steps necessary to assess an electrical situation using testing devices, blueprints and maps
• Maintain a safe work environment by adhering to all company guidelines and OSHA safety requirements and also through reporting violations of policies, procedures and guidelines to immediate supervisor
• Use ladders, scaffolding, platform and lifts to work on electrical systems
• Document actions, testing results, observations, final diagnosis of the situation and steps taken to resolve issues for each job or situation
• Test electrical systems using tools that include voltmeters, oscilloscopes and ohmmeters to determine where issues may be occurring, the safety of the system and to ensure compatibility
• Answer emergency calls quickly, assess the safety of the situation upon first arriving at the scene and provide directions to individuals affected by the electrical emergency to ensure their continued safety and comfort
• Maintain equipment to ensure it is in good condition and can operate or be used safely; report any issues to immediate supervisor
• Must be able to lift up to 50lbs

Job Skills & Qualifications

Required:

• Completed electrician apprenticeship
• Current (unexpired) California Journeyman Electrician Card
• Previous experience working on commercial and telecommunication electrical systems'
• Proficiency with the National Electrical Code and local codes
• Valid driver’s license
• Ability to read blueprints
• Must be able to pass a Federal Background check for military base access

• NFPA 70E Certificate
• Arc Flash Electrical Safety Training Certificate
