At Apex, you don't just join a company, you help shape what comes next. Position Summary Seeking a motivated Entry-Level Civil/Environmental Engineer to join our Marathon, FL office. In this role, you will work under the guidance of experienced professionals to support a variety of municipal and environmental projects, including water/wastewater systems, site development, stormwater management, and more. This is an excellent opportunity to build foundational skills, gain hands‑on project experience, and grow within a supportive engineering environment. Key Responsibilities Project Support: Assist senior engineers and project managers in the planning, design, permitting, and documentation of municipal infrastructure projects. Design & Drafting: Develop preliminary plans, calculations, and technical drawings using AutoCAD and Civil 3D software. Data Collection & Analysis: Perform field investigations, review reports and drawings, and assist in analyzing data to inform engineering solutions. Regulatory Compliance: Help ensure designs and deliverables meet local, state, and federal regulations. Communication & Collaboration: Work closely with internal staff, clients, and external stakeholders, providing updates on project progress and addressing technical inquiries. Continuous Learning: Pursue professional development opportunities, stay current with industry best practices, and obtain professional licensure. Qualifications B.S. in Civil or Environmental Engineering (or closely related field). Interest in water/wastewater engineering. Engineer Intern (EI) certification preferred or the ability to obtain within 6 months. Proficiency in AutoCAD; Civil 3D experience preferred. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Excellent organizational and self‑management abilities. Internship or co‑op experience desired. Sponsorship not available now or in the future. What We Offer Company-subsidized medical and dental.
