Job Summary: The Area Coach provides overall leadership and direct supervision of multiple Taco Bell restaurants to ensure that each Restaurant General Manager (RGM) meets or exceeds the Annual Operating Plan established for their individual unit. Essential Duties: u2022 Leverage culture and people capability to fuel brand performance. u2022 Recruit and equip the best operators in the world to deliver great customer experiences. u2022 Build a healthy and robust bench of developed and capable Managers. u2022 Lead by example - be a culture champion and live by Taco Bell HUNGRY principles: Hungry, Understanding, Never Follow, Grateful, Relentless, and Youthful u2022 Leads performance management process for all employees, including performance feedback, appraisals, training and development planning and due process in resolving workplace disputes. u2022 Drives customer-focused culture by serving as a role model in resolving serious customer issues and training managers to meet or exceed customer service standards. u2022 Track, analyze and identify root causes of customer complaints and lead management team to implement systematic solutions. u2022 Periodically engages in restaurant audits to calibrate on performance standards and to provide an objective basis for performance feedback. u2022 Ensures that food safety standards are met in each unit supervised through direct observation as well as follow-up on food safety audit results. u2022 Monitor restaurant Speed with Service (SWS) performance and provides coaching to unit management teams to meet performance targets. u2022 Reviews and prioritizes store capital expenditure requests and establishes common vendor relationships where scale can be leveraged. u2022 Ensures that facilities and equipment are maintained to Taco Bell standards; coordinates facility upgrades or equipment replacement. u2022 Analyzes sales, labor, inventory and controllables on a continual basis and coaches on corrective action to meet or achieve margin and sales growth targets. u2022 Partners with each Manager in the market to build sales over last year's sales achievement. u2022 Works with Restaurant General Managers to develop and deliver unit-specific Annual Operating Plans Required Skills/Abilities: u2022 Passionate about providing excellence in execution of quality food, service, cleanliness, and speed standards. u2022 Exhibits great leadership behaviors around, providing coaching, developing the team, driving culture, problem solving, strong communication, time management, executing tasks and achieving results through others. u2022 Dynamic, energetic and positive leader, a self-starter, proactively driven to get things done and does the right thing for the business. u2022 Leadership skills that exhibit an adaptable and resilient coaching style. u2022 Good communication skills, and strong interpersonal and conflict resolution skills with exceptional team building capability. u2022 Basic business math and accounting skills, and strong analytical/decision-making skills u2022 Three to five years of successful, high sales volume, operational management experience in the Quick Service Restaurant industry or retail environment. u2022 Demonstrated track record of workplace achievement in the selection, coaching and development of managerial employees. u2022 Proven ability to drive customer satisfaction, financial performance, and employee satisfaction. u2022 Valid Drivers' license Education/Experience: Associates or Undergraduate degree or equivalent Taco Bell/industry experience. Physical Requirements/Working Conditions: u2022 18 years old or older u2022 Legal right to work in the United States. u2022 Able to work flexible hours and a 50-hour work week that includes nights, weekends and holidays. u2022 Must travel between designated locations and work with management teams on a regular basis. u2022 Valid Driver's license and transportation u2022 Able to lift 10-50 pounds, reach with arms and hands, stand, and walk for long periods.
