Job Description

Methodist Health System is seeking a skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse for the Emergency Department [$15K Sign on]. In this fast-paced, high-acuity setting, the Emergency Department RN provides direct patient care to individuals of all ages presenting with a wide variety of emergent and critical conditions. The nurse is responsible for rapid assessment, triage, stabilization, and ongoing evaluation of patients, collaborating closely with physicians, advanced practice providers, and an interdisciplinary team to deliver safe, evidence-based care. Utilizing strong critical thinking and clinical judgment, the RN performs and interprets focused assessments, administers medications and treatments, initiates and manages IV therapy, monitors cardiac rhythms and vital signs, and responds effectively to emergencies such as strokes, myocardial infarctions, trauma, sepsis, and respiratory compromise. The RN will operate and troubleshoot common emergency department equipment, including cardiac monitors, defibrillators, infusion pumps, and point-of-care testing devices, and will adhere to all protocols related to resuscitation, rapid response, and code situations.
